The Fisher Innovation – Autonomous Unmanned Ariel Vehicle was a project started to combine various skill sets I have obtained over the years. Combining my passion for aviation, programming and fabrication, the goal was to create a fully autonomous airborne vehicle.

This project is in development. More information will be posted soon.

Testing

All autopilot tests are done within X-Plane via serial connection. Simulation data is sent to the autopilot to calculate and send back to the simulator to fly the active simulation.

  1. Nice work. I’m using a PIC chip for navigation and inertial management.

  2. Hi,
I put up some pics on botmite.com you may be interested in. There are 4 pages of dedicated construction photos showing how I cut up the MQ-9. Thank you for showing your work.

We attended mini maker fairer in Atlanta on the Georgia Tech campus this past weekend and it was great, just as you had a wonderful experience there. After the exhibit, someone set up a workshop in downtown Atlanta and offers membership to a facility where you have use of several industrial tools. See: myinventorclub.com for details.

Do you have flying videos? Are you a member of diydrones.com?

    Cheers,
    John
